Taiwan- Last glimpse of Jiufen, Yeliu Geopark, Jinshan

Good morning!
I had always wanted to see sunrise at Jiufen
Too bad
Everyday also woke up quite late
Walking to my favourite spot
With my gloves
Like the flowers. Making people so happy just by seeing them.
Look at our door. Very special right? Hard to find it nowadays.
It's time to go for breakfast!
Leaving our minsu for breakfast!
How our minsu looks like from the outside
Staircase everywhere
Like yesterday
We took few minutes to walk to Han Guan for breakfast
It was freezing cold in the morning
Especially when the wind blew
Passed by this cute house with drawings of cats. The owner must like cats a lot!
Another one with some drawings
Arriving Han Guan. This cat came to welcome us. It's a real one!
This time we had our breakfast outside to enjoy the scenery. Yes..It was cold!!!
The tranquility~
Isn't it awesome? Super relaxing place to have breakfast!!!
You will immediately feel very peaceful when facing a view like this
I love the coffee cup~
After breakfast
We thought of going to the old street to do last minute shopping
Had to buy some souvenirs for friends and families
It was not so crowded early in the morning
You can take this opportunity to capture many photos

Rumour has it that the anime Spirited Away got its idea here
The old street was so quiet in the early morning
Panorama shot at Jiufen
The houses look so cute
Another panorama shot
More nice scenery of Jiufen to share with you guys
How can you not love this place?
It's time to leave Jiufen

Goodbye Jiufen
It's the day we were leaving Jiufen and going back to stay in Taipei
We would go to few more places on our way to Taipei (Yeliu Geopark, Jinshan, Alpaca Cafe and Danshui)
Before leaving
I received this envelop from one of the workers of our minsu
Inside it was the postcards of the drawings of Jiufen (so thoughtful!)
Thank you so much!!!
I really enjoyed my stay in Jiufen
Jiufen was such a beautiful place no matter day or night
It was the only place which every detail stayed so vividly in my memory
Would really recommend this place to anyone who is going to Taiwan
Windsor minsu is also highly recommended although it is slightly pricey when compared to others
I would definitely go back again and stay as long as possible!
One tip: Only bring backpack when you are travelling to Jiufen as there are many many staircase!
Postcards of Jiufen

Waiting for our driver Mr Xun

On our way to Yeliu Geopark. I just love road trip!

Can you smell the sea?
Panorama shot of the sea
It was so windy
Finally arriving at Yeliu Geopark! Had to pay NTD50 to enter.
See how tiny the people are when compared to the rocks?
There are three areas in Yeliu Geopark
The first area has mushroom rock and ginger rock
The second area has Queen's head rock (most famous!), Dragon's head rock, elephant's rock, fairy's shoe, earth rock, peanut rock
The third area has 24 filial piety hill, pearl rock and marine bird rock
You are not allowed to walk past the red line (the dangerous zone)
We only managed to walk until second area due to time limit
They are all formed naturally after thousands of years
This is how it looks like when you look closely
An even closer look~
A bunch of geologists!
Had to walk to the other side to see the Queen's head rock
Long long queue to see Queen's head rock
The most important rock!
How I wish we could stay longer at Yeliu Geopark
So I could explore more things
And took many more pictures
Too bad
It was too windy too cold
Had to go to other places before sky getting dark
We went to Jinshan 金山 to have our lunch
Lunch was pretty good
Especially the noodles and vege
The squid was weird
I had no idea how to eat it as it was served as a whole thing
After lunch
Walked along Jinshan Old Street
They sold many stuffs too
It's going to rain!
Ohhhhh
Mr Xun brought us to this place where many people took their wedding photos
It was very pretty
Except it was going to rain heavily soon!
So we had to rush to take our photos before the rain dropped on our heads
Beautiful flowers. So many colors!
Quick quick !! It's gonna rain!!!
Then
We stopped by at a place to eat rice dumplings before seeing the alpacas
I had my fruit tea!
Next post will talk about the alpacas and Danshui
Stay tuned!
