Genting Highland

Facing the monotonous work and piles of tutorials and assignments
The three of us decided to go to Genting Highland for one day trip
To breathe

Genting Highlands is an integrated resort development comprising hotels, casinos, shopping mall and theme park in Pahang, perched on the peak of Gunung Ulu Kali at 1800 meters high
On the peak, First World Hotel-the largest hotel in Asia with over 6000 budget rooms-provides much of the budget accomodation along with family-oriented Theme Park Hotel

We arrived at KL Sentral around 9am
After buying bus tickets at the lower ground floor (The one-way fare inclusive of a Genting Skyway ride is RM 10.70 per adult. It will take you only the Genting Skyway Lower Station at Awana and from here you have to take the cable car up to Genting.)
We boarded the Genting Express Bus at 10.30am
Since it was a last minute trip (we did not buy our bus tickets beforehand)
We could not get the return ticket from Genting to KL Sentral
We ended up buying the one for Pudu Sentral instead (KL Sentral-Pudu Sentral)
The bus journey took us about 45-60 minutes
Then followed by the cable car ride (too busy enjoying the journey and lose track of time)

Inside a cable car
See how happy they were
Loving the greens
Upon arrival
We found this restaurant called Hot Pot for steamboat
Since my friend loves steamboat very much
So we paid RM30 per person for the steamboat buffet
The best food you can have in the cold weather!
They served the best ice-cream! No Joke! We had bowls after bowls.
Overall
I think it was just so-so
But big thumbs up for the ice-cream
There were a few flavors to choose from
And all were quite unique!
We had an enjoyable time chit-chatting, laughing and cooking together~

Coincidentally we dressed in the same style and color !
Did a bit of shopping
There was a Power Rangers Exhibition
To be honest
I'm not really a fan of Power Rangers (Who cares, just grab some pictures will do! Sorry Power Rangers fans > <)
But I remember that I watched a lot when I was a kid
Childhood memories~
Look at my friend. How cute!
Initially
We wanted to go for coffee
But we were too full after the buffet
So we just walked into the Casino
It was my first time in a Casino
Ohhyaa we had a small cup of free coffee there
Our return ticket was 5.30pm (My friend had to work the next day. So, we had to leave earlier)
We walked back to the Skyway Station 40 minutes before the departure time
Little did we know that there was a huge crowd of people queuing for the ride
Waiting anxiously
We finally got out turn after about 20 minutes

Are you afraid of heights? To me, the scariest part was the beginning of the ride.
By the time we reached the Genting Skyway Lower Station
The bus had already left (we were late for about 10 minutes)
So people
Remember to check your departure time of your bus ticket
And allocate more time for the cable car ride at Awana Hotel by queuing earlier since there is always a crowd especially on weekends
The bus will not wait for you if you are late
Lucky for us
We met a kind bus driver
He asked us to queue at another line for the next bus (just besides the normal queue)
If there were empty seats in the bus
We could enter
So that's how we managed to go home!
Waiting for my next getaway~
Now back to studies, assignments and exams!
