Eco Forest One Day Trip

Image
Have you heard of the Eco Forest in the heart of Kuala Lumpur? (Formerly known as Hutan Simpan Bukit Nanas) I only got to know about it recently And it shocked me that the city centre of KL actually has a forest?! This is the entrance that we entered from We took the monorail to Station Bukit Nanas Once you walk out from the station You will see this sign Just follow it There are actually 2 routes (one from Jalan Ampang and the other one from Jalan Raja Chulan) If you follow the Jalan Ampang route You will need to hike for approx 20-30 minutes in the Canopy Walk depending on your speed It was quite an easy hike But lesser people The Raja Chulan route is the nearest to the suspension bridge So if you just want to grab some nice Instagrammable pictures It is better to go to the Raja Chulan route Immersing ourselves in the forest There were actually very few people using this route So it is better to come in a bigger group of people And remember to bring mo

Batu Caves One Day Trip

Image
One fine day We suddenly decided to go on a day trip to Batu Caves The last time I was there was in 2016 (See blog post "Palladium Cafe KL & Batu Caves") Address: Batu Caves, Sri Subramaniam Temple, Kuala Lumpur Recently They have painted the 272 staircases in rainbow colours It was so beautiful and Instagram-worthy! I find joy in these little things This has added a lot of colours to the 100-year-old temple Do avoid wearing shorts or singlets (A sign of respect when visiting temples) The staff will ask you to put on a scarf and you have to pay some money for that Then only you are allowed to climb up the staircase The limestone formation is said to be around 400 million years old You will see so many monkeys! Especially when there are some tourists who will offer them food Look carefully, it's full of monkeys! Eating~ Continue eating~ Searching for food~ Yes more food pls~ Don't stare at me woman, I want

The strawberries sold at the market was much bigger (the big size ones) and slightly cheaper  They actually separated the strawberries based on their sizes  So the prices also varied  Next up!  Lavender Garden~~ Heard so much about this place but never been before Took so many pictures here Let the pictures do the talking~ Here we are~ My thoughts about this place? Hmmm Not really worth the price that you are paying It was actually quite small  The lavender garden was only a small part  It was filled with other flowers in the other parts of the garden I was actually looking for the lavender ice-cream  But there was no stall selling anymore  I wonder why  However  You can get some Instagrammable shots here  And just do some sightseeing  Chilling at our AirB&B be
