Taiwan (Taipei)- Xinbeitou Hot Spring, A-ji-shi for dinner, Shi Da Night Market

Feeling sick early in the morning even after taking medicine
Gotta wear face mask to prevent cold air entering my lungs
Planning to go to Xinbeitou Hot Spring
Only going to spend a few hours there
While waiting for the traffic light to cross the road to the Beitou Park
Suddenly there was a loud noise
One motorist dropped something (I think it's a rice container) on the road
We were all shocked of course
Just few seconds later
So many people went to help the motorist
Some helped to pick up the rice on the road
That incident further proven that Taiwanese are really helpful~
So we crossed the road
And reached Beitou Park

We only had to follow the blue line
Went to three places
Ketagalan Culture Centre, Beitou Hot Spring Museum and Beitou Thermal Valley
There were three floors
We were only allowed to take pictures in the first floor
There was also a room showing video to make you understand the aborigines in Taiwan better
Remember to collect the stamps from each floor as a souvenir to bring home
By following the sign
We walked to the Beitou Hot Spring Museum
You feel so much better when walking during a cold weather
At least you don't perspire under the hot sun
My mood also became better!
When entering
They would ask you to take off your shoes and change to their slippers
They gave me the kids size one T T
Inside the museum
You will see the descriptions, videos, bath tub, the biggest Beitou stone and etc
You can sit inside the bath tub to experience how it was like last time
Watching video
Here is the highlight
The bath pool
It was surrounded by large cylinder poles
The large cylinder poles were of equal measurement
There were painted glass windows too
All these evoked ancient Rome styles and comfortable atmosphere
The largest Beitou stone
An old door knob
Walking out from the museum
Saw this old man playing flute
The mail box
After walking for another few minutes
We reached the Thermal Valley
Thermal Valley used to be called Hell Valley
It was a bowl-shaped depression that used to be a fumarole
Many hot springs gush from the bottom
Emitting the smell of sulphur and heat
At spring head
Water temperature reaches up to 98c
While the average temperature is between 60-70c
The depression became a shallow pond filled with  hot springs and surface water
Its water flows from the opening in the Southwest to the Beitou Stream
The steam
It's time to take some selfies
It was my first time seeing this kind of natural phenomenon
Pretty impressive~
Later
We saw some shops selling food
They had cardboards which said hot spring eggs, hot spring corns and etc
We bought the eggs, corns, sweet potatoes and pearl milk tea
The pearl milk tea somehow tasted similar like those in Malaysia
Sweet potato
The Beitou Stream
The shop lots opposite Beitou Park

It had been drizzling since morning
We decided to go to Shidong Wet Market for A-ji-shi
Went to Shipai Station
We had to take cab from there
One orchestra going on in the Shipai Station
And so we met the weirdest taxi driver ever
His car was super dirty
And he never answered whenever we asked him a question!
I even thought of jumping out from his car~
Finally we were at Shidong Wet Market
There were number on every stalls
So just look for Stall 88 for A-ji-shi
A-ji-shi is a sushi and sashimi bar with no chair
Everyone had to stand and eat
The green color thingy was wasabi
If you have no idea how to order
The chef can arrange for you
Just let him know whether you want it to be raw, half cooked, or fully cooked
I told him we were small eaters
So he said let him know when to stop cooking
The soup was free
Take as much as you like
It was very delicious!
We had abalone salad, salmon, and one sushi with eel wrapping it
Soup on the left and abalone salad on the right
See..no chair
This meal cost us NTD800 per person
Which was a little pricey
But it was so so tasty
Unlike any of the Japanese meals that I had tried so far
Oishi!!
Last place of the day-Shi Da Night Market
Shi Da Night Market is located in arguably one of the most trendy neighbourhoods in Taipei
It offers a wide selection of night market food
It also has a large selection of cheap clothes from stylish boutiques which are owned and operated by young entrepreneurs
At Shi Da Night Market
This one was quite nice
Stinky Tofu
Stinky tofu is a form of fermented tofu which has a strong odour
It was so so smelly
Although I was okay trying it
Some of my family members puked after tasting just a bit of it
They could not stand the taste and smell
So that was the end of the day
Stay tuned~
