Guilin, China Day 2 - High Speed Train, Elephant Hill, Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan), Two Rivers and Four Lakes, Lijiang Waterfall Hotel

Started off our second day in China with these little cute buns




























We wanted to take the high speed train from Nanning to Guilin
So in order to get to the station
We had to take a cab there
Worst thing was
Hotel did not want to call the cab for us
Giving all sorts of dumb reasons
Saying the station was very near
No driver would want to take us
And actually asked us to walk there!!!
We had to walk and cross the busy streets with cars with our luggage!
We were so so so angry
We walked more than 20 minutes to reach the station












































There were some security checks at the station
With a huge crowd
Luckily we were still able to catch the train
What a morning~

Finally in the train~ Time to enjoy the view and sleeeep~
Reached after 3 hours
Food first!
Rice noodles! Sooo goooood~
Time to explore this beautiful place
We actually hired a driver + guide in Guilin
So he would drive us to all the places that we wanted to go
While giving some brief information (Eg history) about the place

Usually I prefer to go free & easy whenever I travel to a new place
I prefer to explore at my own pace instead of just following someone
But in China
Its best to get a guide or driver
It can save you a lot of time and trouble
As getting from one place to another was very far apart
And it was not so easy to get a cab there
So I was beyond grateful for his service

It was a very hot day in Guilin
At the very touristy Elephant Hill
Elephant Hill
Becoming a third wheel
Reed Flute Cave
Its a must to go to Reed Flute Cave
All the natural rock formation
With the help of colorful lighting
It was so artistic and beautiful inside the cave
Time to feed our hungry tummy~
This was their famous
Boba tea after dinner
Taking a stroll at Two Rivers and Four Lakes 
We stayed at Lijiang Waterfall Hotel
Every night at 8.30pm
There was a waterfall performance at this hotel
It was a huge 5-star hotel
Really huge
We did not get to explore everything in the hotel during our 3 nights stay
The hotel was actually quite old
But one thing special was that it was very high tech
It actually used robot to control the lighting, curtains, TV in the room
The little robot in our room
This robot could talk and even played songs for us as requested
Lets call it a night~

Taiwan- Alpaca Cafe & Danshui

Went to this cafe to see the alpacas Alpaca is a long-haired domesticated South American mammal related to the ilama It is valued for its fine, long wool Very few people rear this kind of animal in Taiwan as they must be imported And it is unprofitable to rear them So this cafe gave us an opportunity to dine with alpaca It will walk around the cafe You can touch it You can take as many pictures as you like You can even get a chance to feed it with carrots But you must order something to eat or drink The price was not cheap Feeding it with carrot We had a hard time deciding what to order to eat or drink As we already had a meal before going to the cafe So all of us was not hungry at all Plus the price was quite expensive Eventually we decided to order only drinks and waffles Having our desserts before dinner > < It kept coming to our table after one of us fed it with carrot Waffles with ice-crea...

Taiwan (Taipei)- National Palace Museum, Sanxitang Teahouse, Shilin Night Market

Next morning Getting ready for National Palace Museum Thought of wearing something cute It was a warm day While we were in Shilin Station Saw many shops selling breakfast So we bought a few to try out It was very tasty~ That was the first time I tried their 7-11 Iced Coffee Too good! National Palace Museum features both permanent and temporary exhibitions displaying amazing collections of paintings, calligraphy, rare books, historical documents and Chinese bronzes There were many Buddhist artifacts which were inherited from the Forbidden City There a were levels Level 1 had rare books, Qing and Ming dynasty furniture, religious sculptures, and orientation gallery to give you an overview of dynasties Level 2 had paintings, calligraphy, and an interactive area with videos There was one electronic areas which allowed you to use your hand to zoom in the paintings Besides, there was one place in the electronic areas where you could trace back the origin your Chine...
