Aussie trip Part 2 - Sydney
Day 4 (10th May)
Took a walk to The Gap
Could see the whole Sydney from there
We had to walk faster since the sky was getting dark
Went down after taking few pictures
We could hardly see our fingers by that time
Crumpet for breakfast. This is a must try! |
Australian brings this wherever they go. It tasted a bit like Marmite. |
Had breakfast in the morning
Poached the egg in the microwave, spread the boysenberry jam on the toasted crumpet, spread the Vegemite on our bread, making chocolate drinks for ourselves
Standing in front of the train which has two floors |
We took the train to the city after breakfast
That was the best day because of the warm weather
It's 22 degree celcius
First, we went to this historical building named after Queen Victoria
There's nothing much in the building except seeing the clock which was repaired in Ipoh, Malaysia long ago
The Queen Victoria's building |
Saw this adorable girl on the street |
Picnic on the grass at Hyde Park |
Lying on the grass |
First time lying on the grass
One thing was weird
I could'nt find any ants on the grass
I lay down comfortably on the grass without having to worry about ants
Those Aussie love laid back lifestyle
Saw people lying on the grass sleeping, couples chit-chatting, students studying
China town |
Being a kid at the playground |
This thing is so scary. I salute those kids. |
Guess what. This is not a temple but a RESTAURANT. |
This restaurant named Chinta Ria
It served mouth watery Chinese food
I reckon it's the best Chinese Restaurant in Aussie
The atmosphere was pretty good
It's a good place to have candlelight dinner
Day 5 (11th May)
Went kayaking at the Narabeen Lake
First time experiencing kayaking for 2 hours!
It's super tiring ><
Kayaking at the Narrabeen Lake |
Could see the whole Sydney from there
We had to walk faster since the sky was getting dark
Went down after taking few pictures
We could hardly see our fingers by that time
The Gap |
The nice scenery |
Dinner at Mexican Pub
The rice was made of those grains.
|
RIVIERA ICE-CREAM!!! BEST OF THE BEST!!!
Tallest and biggest ice-cream I have ever seen.
|
Day 6 (12th May)
That day was extremely cold in the morning
Arrived at Taronga Zoo around 9.30 am
The Zoo was situated beside the sea
The environment was totally different from M'sia
I still recall the zoo in M'sia was damn smelly
We saw kangaroo, australian devil, emu, koala bear, penguin
Too bad, we did'nt get to see the platypus since they were too shy
I learned that the innocent looking platypus were venomous
A guy feeding the emu |
Kids watching the whales swimming |
Little penguin |
I could'nt believe it! Two Koala kissing |
Went to Sydney fish market which was a stone throw away from Taronga Zoo
Saw different kinds of seafood there
Some looked really yummyy
But expensive ><
The Rocks |
I love The Rocks
It's like our bazaar here
But the things they sold were different
One thing enchanted me the most was the space art done by an artist on the street
Saw a big doggie outside the cafe |
Boomerangs |
Australian boomerangs were used by the aborigines for hunting
Nowadays, boomerangs with different design are sold almost everywhere as souvenir in Aussie
It's really artistic
We went Harry's pie for supper
Even Obama had been there
Harry's pie |
Tiger pie |
Tried tiger pie
It had a funny name
At first, I thought it was spicy by hearing the name (well, I just dunno why..)
After trying, IT'S NOT SPICY AT ALL
The top part was the green peas with special gravy
There's chicken inside
Full
Gotta pack our luggage to Cooma
This was very neat vacation blog thank you. I found it searching for boomerang stuff. Haha cool! :P
