Dalat, Vietnam Day 3 - Horizon Coffee, Datanla Waterfall, Truc Lam Pagoda, Bao Dai Summer Palace, Hoa Son Dien Trang, Chua Linh Son Pagoda, Crazy House, Chicken Church
This day
We hired a driver that would bring us to all the places that we wanted to go
So we could save a lot of time on transportation
Hotel staff was kind enough to help us to arrange our itinerary with the driver
The first place to visit was the Horizon Coffee
Its a cafe situated on top of a mountain
Surrounded by all the trees
I love this cafe so so so much
Its a must to visit when you are in Dalat
Although the price can be quite steep
But their coffee was good
Its the best combination when you have coffee + good view
Really a great way to start my day
Done with the breakfast and good view
We went to Datanla Waterfall
The most exciting thing about this place is that
You can go up and down of the falls via a mini roller coaster
And you can even control the speed of the roller coaster using the hand brakes beside the sled
However
Do be very careful not to speed too fast (although it can be exhilarating)
Because we got into a minor accident as we sped too fast and hit the sled in front of us when the roller coaster was going down
And we couldnt break on time
I was shouting my lungs out
The person in front of our sled hit his head due to the inertia
And my hat flew off (luckily found it after the ride)
After that
We went to Truc Lam Pagoda
It was a monastery on top of a hill
Flowers blooming everywhere
Very beautiful and zen
Then
Driver took us to the Bao Dai Summer Palace
Time for some history lesson off the book
After finished touring the Summer Palace
We went to Hoa Son Dien Trang
Its a place for you to take Instagrammable pictures
A bit like a place in Yogyakarta in Indonesia
Usually only locals come here
After the very satisfying photography session
Driver dropped us at Chua Linh Son Pagoda for a short while to grab few pictures
Next up
My personal favorite
Its also one of the must-go places in Dalat
The Crazy House!!!
How crazy is it?
The pictures here will tell you
Basically there were many staircases twisting here and there
Some would lead you to go up to the roof
Some would cross to the other rooms in the Crazy House
Its just too creative
And so so so fun
I felt like a kid there haha
Once we were done with Crazy House
Driver took us to the Chicken Church / St. Nicholas Cathedral
We just grabbed some pictures
And went back to our hotel
8 places in a day
We have almost traveled to all the attractions in Dalat
