Palladium Cafe KL & Batu Caves

On one fine day (3rd of August)
Our original plan was to have our lunch at NU Sentral followed by Palladium Cafe KL
But we ended up with a half day trip to the Batu Caves
Unexpected trips are the best right?

So after having done some shopping and lunch at Pasta Zanmai
We took the KTM to Taman Wahyu
According to one blog
The Palladium Cafe is actually within 10-15 minutes walk from the Taman Wahyu KTM station
We initially followed
But unfortunately there was some construction going on that day
So they blocked the roads (you can still walk there but it will be quite dangerous given that you have to walk besides the highway with speeding cars)
After walking for about 10 minutes
We walked back to the ktm station and took a cab instead (which only cost us RM3 cuz it was really near)
It was a great workout especially when we had to carry the shopping bags and walk under the evil hot sun!

Your mood will be instantly lifted up when you saw the exterior of the Palladium Cafe
It is a Jay Chou themed glasshouse cafe
If you are a fan of Jay Chou you will surely know about this cafe as it was displayed in one of his MVs
Well, let the pictures do the talking~

The menu offered a very limited choice of caffeinated and non-caffeinated beverages
With soothing Jay Chou's songs playing in the background
It was indeed a very relaxing afternoon

The best thing about life is when you have someone to share your coffee with

Outside the cafe. You will see nicely decorated walkways with pebble stones.

Since Taman Wahyu is just a station before Batu Caves
So we planned to go to there since the day was still early
We have always wanted to go there
Another tick off our bucket list!

Batu Caves is a limestone outcrop located just north of Kuala Lumpur, Batu Caves has three main caves featuring temples and Hindu shrines.
Its main attraction is the large statue of the Hindu God at the entrance, besides a steep 272 climb up its steps to finally view the stunning skyline of the city centre.
Monkeys frolic around the caves, and it is a popular spot for rock climbing enthusiasts. Paintings and scenes of Hindu Gods can also be seen in the Ramayana Cave.
Looking from afar

Walking closer

Ascending the stairs

One step at a time and you will eventually reach your destination.

One note for the ladies
Please do not wear shorts if you are planning to hike up the stairs
If not
You will have to pay RM5 (RM2 as deposits which will be returned later) for the scarves to cover your legs

It's fascinating! All the climbs were totally worth it!

Monkeys everywhere~

Look at the limestones.

On our way home. This looks like we were in an airplane when we were actually in a ktm coach.

An ice-cream from McD to mark the end of our trip. New flavor: Hershey's chocolate + Vanilla. I'm a happy girl!

Most of the pictures here were taken by my friend, Carmen
