Australia Part 8- Chatswood Chase Sydney Mall, Chef Rasa Sayang, Manly Beach, Fish&Chips, Circular Quay, Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Meet Fresh

Day 11 (31/12/15)
We had no special plans today
Everyone was exhausted from the big trip to Gold Coast
Around noon
We went to Chatswood Chase Sydney Mall to shop for some groceries and had our lunch at Chef Rasa Sayang Malaysian Delights at Chatswood
Nasi Lemak was good!
I still prefer the Char Kuey Teow in Penang, Malaysia
Salted Fish Fried Rice
Taking a stroll around the neighborhood after shopping~
We decided not to go for countdown
Just relax and watched it from TV at home
With a cup of hot tea beside me
Night~

Day 12 (1/1/16)
Today's itinerary was to visit Manly Beach, Opera House, Harbour Bridge and China Town
Manly Beach is my favorite beach in Sydney
I think it's even prettier than Gold Coast Surfers Paradise (no offence!)
The water is crystal blue
Shinning brightly under the sun!

They can basically sit or camp under the sun for hours!
See the creature behind me?
It's a star at Manly! So many people started taking pictures!
Rock Pool
Must try out the fish&chips here whenever you are in Manly
Very very fresh!!!
Taking a ferry to Circular Quay.
Ferry trip was the best
You can see the extent of Sydney through the entrance to the harbour out to the ocean
Like my last trip to Sydney
We took slow ferry to the city
And fast ferry when coming back

Circular Quay is the hub of Sydney Harbour, situated at a small inlet called Sydney Cove, the founding site for Sydney and Australia. It is a stepping-off point for most attractions based around the harbour and an exciting place to be on a warm summer's day. The quay is a vibrant, bustling place with ferries leaving every few minutes to different parts of the harbour.
On the southern side of Circular Quay is a walkway that leads to the Sydney Opera House and Royal Botanical Gardens
On the northern side, a short walk along lovely landscaped walkways takes you to the Harbour Bridge and The Rocks, one of the oldest, most attractive and most interesting parts of Sydney.
Circular Quay is at the foot of the central business district and the older, historic end of the city. There is a major railway station at the quay, which is part of the underground City Circle
yachts
Spot the Sydney Tower?
Yayyy! It's Sydney Opera House
Sydney Opera House is a masterpiece of late modern architecture
It was created by a young architect from Denmark named Jørn Utzon
It was his life and travels that had shaped his ideas for the Sydney Opera House
He gave Australia a challenging, graceful piece of urban sculpture in patterned tiles, glistening in the sunlight and invitingly aglow at night
In its short lifetime, Sydney Opera House has earned a reputation as a world-class performing arts centre and become a symbol of both Sydney and the Australian nation.
The expert evaluation report to the World Heritage Committee stated: “…it stands by itself as one of the indisputable masterpieces of human creativity, not only in the 20th century but in the history of humankind.”

Aboriginal playing didgeridoo
Art pieces
This old man was so cute! He posed for me!
"The sun did not know how beautiful its light was, until it was reflected off this building." American architect, Louis Kahn
A touristy shot!
A very close look of the shells
There's a park nearby
Harbour Bridge
Meatballs & French Loaf. Best butter I had ever tasted!
Drinking lemon squash under the evil hot sun!
First time eating under the hot sun!
After that
We took the train to Town Hall to visit China Town
*Use Opal Card to save time
We had Meet Fresh (A Taiwanese dessert place) after finishing our simple dinner
The mango one was so tasty!!
Then
We took the fast ferry back
Will be visiting China Town again the next day as we have to buy some souvenirs back home
A helicopter hovering above the Harbour Bridge
To be continued~
