Siem Reap, Cambodia Day 3 - Angkor Archaeological Park, Pasta Lavista

Day 3 is the day that we had been waiting for
Because
We were going to visit the Angkor Archaeological Park!
We took the tour package for 1 day
Which covered a selection of temples at the Archaeological Park
Our driver picked us up at our hotel at 4.30am
We had to depart early as we had to buy our ticket pass and see the sun rise
Our one-day pass costs us $37 per person
Really really pricey
We realized one thing
The sun in Cambodia rises quite early
At about 6am
The sun was already up in the sky
Luck was not with us that day
We did not see sun rise
It was a cloudy day
Angkor Wat
We had to hike up this super steep staircase. It was dangerous.
The air in Cambodia is quite polluted
So remember to bring face masks
Prasat Kravan

Banteay Kdei
Ta Prohm

Ta Keo
It was a very steep climb without anything to hold on
So go at your own risk
I was too scared to go up
Chau Say Tevoda
Thommanon
My favorite - Bayon Temple
Then one tragic incident occurred as soon as we left Bayon Temple
We lost our way
So we turned a big round and finally found our driver
It was the second time we lost our way in a day
The first time was at Ta Prohm
There were different exits and we had to turn a big round
So please check your compass or memorize the entrance before you enter
If not you are going to have a hard time finding your way out
I almost fainted due to the scorching hot weather
And dehydrated as we did not bring much water
Photo took when we lost our way
Baphuon Temple
Then, we hiked up the hill for our last temple
The Phnom Bakheng Temple to see sun set
This hike took about 20-30 minutes depending on your speed
We could not see sun set
But the view up there was pretty amazing
Phnom Bakheng
At Pasta Lavista. Probably the best pasta I have ever had.
For pasta lovers
You can try out the pastas at Pasta Lavista
Reasonable price but very good quality

Some tips for visiting the Archaeological Park:
1) Bring lots of water
2) Bring sun block
3) Bring a compass
4) If you are hiring a tuk tuk driver, you can opt to go back to hotel for breakfast after seeing the sun rise at Angkor Wat
Caught in action while at Sras Sarang
Stay tuned for Day 4~
